Changes to Companies House Fees – 6 April 2011

The Registrar of Companies and the Department of Trade & Industry have undertaken a review of Companies House processes and services. As a result of the high volume of customers using electronic services the cost savings made by Companies House can be passed on to customers in the form of reduced fees. In parallel, the increase in fees for certain paper based products reflects the higher fixed costs of providing services for a decreasing number of customers and therefore changes to the fee structures which will affect all entities registered at Companies House including Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs), Limited Partnerships (LPs), Community Interest Companies (CICs), Overseas Companies, European Economic Interest Groupings (EEIGs) and European Public Limited- Liability Companies (SEs) have been implemented with effect from 6 April 2011, namely

Some same day fees for certain services are also being increased; in particular the same day fees for paper incorporation, certified copies and certificates of incorporation. This is to ensure that demand for these “premium” services will not impact the level of service they are able to offer their standard paper customers.

In addition, Companies House are also introducing a new Web Incorporation service in April 2011.

There are exceptions to the increase in paper incorporation fees for those people who wish to deliver documentation in Welsh. Please contact us should you require any further information in relation to Welsh documents.

The changes in fees will also affect searchers of the public register.
